Jesus Christ is my best Friend, for he is the way, the truth, and the life. Likewise, Earthly friends should possess truth as demonstrated by their fruits. Galatians 5:22-23:
“22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
The certainty of above is further explained in Matthew 7:16 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles?
17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”
How do you know that Jesus is our personal Friend? He told us so.
John 15:15: “Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”
So, seek the friendship of Jesus. Then find and associate with friends who wield the blade of truth made of the atoms of love from the body of Christ.
First Seeking the Kingdom and His righteousness as described in Matthew 6:33. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
My interpretation: it is not enough to simply say to yourself that God exists, that he is our Father, and that he sacrificed his only begotten Son so that those who believe in him may have ever lasting life, John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”, which is later affirmed in John5:24 Verily, “Verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
We need to act according to the Ten Commandments which will produce the fruit of the spirit in order to assure that we receive the keys to our mansion in Heaven.”
What mansion? Remember that Jesus went to prepare a mansion for each of us in Heaven. JOHN 14:2 “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”
So, be in good cheer. The Father in Heaven loves us all and has prepared a way to our happiness and salvation, and he’s waiting for each of us to have faith and follow Christ Jesus, the risen King. After all, Heaven and Earth may pass away, but His Word will never pass away. Luke 21:33:
Finally, cast your pain, sorrows, and burden onto Christ Jesus. Ecclesiastes 11:10 “Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.”
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” Matthew 5:4.
He promised us joy and our own mansion in Heaven! “You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed) me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever” Psalm 30:11
